Infrared puppet
What: Interactive animation
When: 2009
For who: London Metropolitan University
Technology: Flash, Actionscript 2.0, Bluetooth

A project for the Responsive Environments unit of my Masters degree in Digital Media. Using 2 infrared pens and the camera in a Wiimote, connected to a computer via Bluetooth, the user can draw and control a puppet wirelessly.

To the right is a video demonstration of the Infrared Puppet.

In the second video I show the other examples that I have used or created in the lead up to creating the puppet demonstration, with commentary. This video includes the original example that demonstrates infra-red point detection, and then two further examples that I have created to use with the infra-red pens.
